Nowadays Memory cards are more secured but still there are some errors which stop users from copying files to device , deleting files and formatting the sd card which in sort makes your sd card useless. Its not your sd card fault but actually its a simple windows error. Today i will tell you how to solve this problem easily. Its not some kind of rocket science just few tweaks.
           

Remove Write Protection From SD Cards



Solution 1 : Check your SD card for virus.


This kinds of problems mainly happen due to virus , trojans so make sure that your SD card doesn't have virus. Scan your SD card with any antivirus if you don't got one then download Avast Free Version or AVG and scan your SD Card with. Do it before performing further steps.

Solution 2 : Check if your Pendrive is locked.


Most of the times sd cards are already locked so make sure your sd card is not locked before deleting all the data.
If your SD card is having any type of lock then you will notice that there are markings provided for lock and unlock.

Solution 3 : Use System Registry.


System Registry - The manager of your computer. You can solve most of the problem from there. In order to remove write protection from SD Card follow these steps.


  1. Open Run > type Regedit > click on Registry Editor
  2. Now follow up this path in Registry Editor

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentConrolSet/Control/StorageDevicePoi
  3. Now you’ll able to see write protection option just click on that.
  4. And change the value data to “o”.
  5. Done

Solution 4 : Use Diskpart to remove write protection from Memory Card/USB Drive

                        

This is the last method to remove write protection and this method works most of the time. Just follow below steps :
  •  Click on start
  •  Search cmd > open as administrator
  •  Now type diskpart in CMD
  •  Now write list disk in cmd
  •  Now type " Select disk 1 " without quotes . This command will select your sd card.
  •  Now type " attributes disk clear readonly” without quotes and press the enter button.
  •  Now exit your CMD and format your SD CARD.
